Olawumi “Ola” Akinwumi (she/her) is a dynamic cultural strategist, event producer, and community engagement leader whose career has been defined by her commitment to uplifting Black and Brown communities through arts, culture, and storytelling. Currently serving as President of the Roxbury Cultural District (RCD), Akinwumi brings visionary leadership to Roxbury’s historic Nubian Square, advancing the district’s mission of celebrating the neighborhood’s rich artistic legacy while expanding opportunities for creatives, entrepreneurs, and residents alike. With over 20 years of experience working in the Boston area, she has built a reputation for creating impactful programs that support personal growth, leadership development, and long-term success.
Hamzat
Hamzat Incorporated is a Nigerian-born artist and strategist. Trained in Conceptual Art at The Cooper Union and Stone Carving at Kyoto Seika University, he works across sculpture, branding, and political communication. Most recently, he served as Digital Director on the political campaigns of Josh Kraft and Will Onuoha, translating complex political messaging into audience-specific digital strategy. He brings a distinctly Nigerian perspective sharpened by an international formation and a career built on the conviction that identity, strategy, and presence are inseparable forces.
