Welcome!

NYO Boston was founded by two concerned Nigerian Parents in the mid-1990. Their casual commitment to helping youths quickly became a consuming desire to do something to help Nigerian youth who needed so much. They started taking a few of the children on field trips and were astonished by the joy they observed in them while on a simple trip. They organized a Cultural Dance Group that has performed through the State of Massachusetts; they even performed for the Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino.

In 1997, they formalized their volunteer work by incorporating "Nigerian Youth Organization of Boston Inc." The organization sponsors SAT 1 and 2 training, career day workshop, youth movie night, yearly summer cook-out, cultural dance program and field trips. Yearly graduation parties are held for elementary and high school and college graduates. Today NYO Boston is managed by a Board of Directors that comprises of professionals who are committed to the goals and objectives of the organization.
